Update from Mom 3/29 @ 12:30 Sunday afternoon
Good Afternoon TEAM TOMMY,
We had a wonderful night here at Herman everybody slept well. And we all kind of slept in this morning, I know I needed it. Right now Brandi is in bed with Tommy (see picture) cuddling, relaxing and watching a movie (they look adorable). We are waiting an hour or so before getting Tommy into his chair to allow his medications and food settle. Nothing new as far as the doctors go, they still don’t have any information on his EEG, and said no one is here on the weekends so I guess we will have to wait till Monday. They also are checking him for any kind of virus or gastroenterology type problem and hopefully will have those results today.
I have been hearing from some of his Tech’s and nurses from TIRR checking on him and they are all happy he is O.K. since he left so suddenly, and they are all hoping he will be able to come back once he is done here. I will be getting with his Case Manager and Social Worker at TIRR tomorrow first thing to find out what the game plan is, and I will let you know as soon as I know something. Craig is still at home feverishly working on getting Tommy’s room done, and I know he is missing Tommy terribly. He will be coming up here sometime later today to stay with Tommy so I can take Brandi home tonight. She does not have school tomorrow (it’s fair time in Montgomery County), so I have promised her that she can go with some friends to the fair and carnival. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am torn where I want/need to be. I would like to be with my entire family but that is not possible at this time, and I made a promise to Brandi so that is where the majority of my day will be and I then have to come back down here and relieve Craig so he can get back home before Tuesday morning, as the plumbers (Martin Plumbing) will be there to finish up the plumbing in Tommy’s bathroom. So there will be a lot of back and forth on my part. Sarah or Billy will be here to relieve us Tuesday night so I think we will attempt to do a Birthday dinner for Cody and I.
I hope everybody has had a wonderful weekend and has enjoyed this gorgeous weather after a misreable week. Please KEEP PRAYING for Tommy’s complete recovery and strentgh and stay tuned. Thank You for hanging in there with us and helping us keep the faith when we get weak and down.
We love you all,
Jill
p.s. did everybody see all the trips Tommy made yesterday ??
