Update from Mom 3/27 @ 6
TEAM TOMMY,
Just wanted to post a quick update to let you know that we still don’t really know anything and did not want to keep any of you hanging. Cody, Brandi & I got here a little after 2 and we were informed they had just done the EEG and they would be coming in sometime after 3 to give us the report. Dr. Jones (Dr. Baumgartner’s partner) came in and pulled some fluid out from Tommy’s shunt to check him for the infection on his brain they are concerned about. He said the fluid looked great, nice and clear and they should have the final results by in the morning. They are wanting to run another CT Scan with contrast but were unable to get an I.V. started above his hands (it has to be above his hands to be accurate), so we are now waiting to see what plan B is. I will let all of you know as soon as I get more information. It may be bit by bit, but I will post it on here as soon as they come in.
We did get Tommy in his wheelchair and went for a walk in the halls. Cody & Brandi took Tommy in the movie room and there are twinkling stars all over the ceiling along with some shooting stars….Tommy loved it and he followed the shooting stars he also said “AHHHHH”. I was very happy to hear and see all of this, it was nice to see after everything we have had going on the last few days. So THANK YOU TOMMY for giving that little something to smile about we all needed it.
We are now officially tired of waiting so we are going to get him out of bed again and move those muscles and get back into his wheelchair.
