Update from Mom 3/22 @ 10 p.m.
Good evening TEAM TOMMY,
WHEW !!!! I am so glad to back here at TIRR with my baby man, I missed him so much this last few days. Billy left Saturday afternoon and Barbara Martin relieved him and stayed with him till this afternoon so I could stay home and try to get 24 hours worth of more work on Tommy’s new suite…LOL . We have created a new tab with some of the construction photos and will continue to add them as things progress. Also we are forecasted for rain everyday this week and it is essential that we do not get rain as we need to be able to complete his room before the end of the week. Cody came out to the house to try and help some but I think he had more studying on his brain, he has some huge tests everyday for the next 4 days, so please pray for his success. He also has celebrating on his mind as he turns 21 on Tuesday..>WOW. He has been working really hard on trying to get the new website set up, there are still some kinks to be worked out but please be patient he will get it perfected. I am not sure if anybody has mentioned it but we were about to be booted off the previous website/domain due to high traffic on Tommy’s page. To me that is AWESOME news, that’s means he has a lot of people that love him.
When Barbara got here they had been having a hard time with Tommy, he was not having a good day/night/weekend at all. Finally about 11 last night I called up here and demanded the doctor do whatever he needed to, to give Tommy some much needed rest. They added a new medication on and it worked. When I got here this afternoon he had had a pretty good morning, so first thing was to get him out of the bed and into his wheelchair. We walked around outside for about 2 hours and sat in the family room and visited with Cody (one of the other teenage patients here) then it was back outside again and we did a little reading and talking. I told him all about his room and jealous Brandi is that his room is so HUGE, but she is so glad it is big enough that she can stay with him in there when she wants. I know she is ready for him to come home, she misses seeing him everyday. As of right now it looks like he will be going home Wednesday or Thursday, but Billy had them working on Friday to get him another week and they should tell us something tomorrow. PLEASE PRAY that this happens. I want his room/bathroom to be 100% completed when he gets home, so unless a miracle happens and a herd of people come to help us get this done would be the only way.
I know I skipped around from subject to subject and back and forth but I am exhausted/stressed/excited and ready for this to be over.
